PHOTO GALLERY Page 2 - third row down - picture on far right  has kindly been fully identified by JOHN DARVIL, who tells us the children in the photograph with Jubilee Alice (known as Juba) are his Mum, Annie, being the girl standing at the back. The other children are Nellie and John (on Juba's lap). John found the site fascinating and remembers hop picking as a child. Many thanks John

PHOTO GALLERY page 3 - Wedding group from the Smith, White, Penfold and Butcher families – such beautiful people says BETTY HOPE who sent us the picture:-
(L-R) Eddy White, Mossy Penfold, Mark White, Isaac White, Mary White (nee White), family friend, Groom–Charlie Smith, Caleb Smith, Bride-Ivy Smith (nee White), family friend – in front with open shirt is Bill Smith |(Betty’s father) far right George Butcher

Betty tells us “My mother Daisy and her sister Ivy White (the bride in white) married two brothers, Bill and Charlie Smith. We were all a very close family and I love all my cousins and have a close relationship with them all. I suppose being the eldest gives me a start knowing a little more than the others. When we talk about family things I say, “No, that’s not right, you weren’t born then” and they say “Oh! yes, our Betty – you would remember wouldn’t you” and we all laugh!
